On Thursday, 6 April, we had the pleasure of teaching an introductory course on aviation law at the Province of South Holland with the objective of providing a broad overview of the legal and political landscape of the air transport sector.
During the full-day training, we discussed the foundations of air law and the EU Agenda, with special attention to environmental measures at the international and EU levels. The afternoon sessions focused on managing airports, environmental measures in the Netherlands and a brief overview of drone legislation.
Last week’s developments at the Dutch court and Schiphol’s announcements provided a topical foundation for interesting discussions. Similarly, we enjoyed learning more about the topics on the Province’s agenda, for instance, concerning Rotterdam The Hague Airport and its progressive take on the future of drones.
